I´m a Cowgirl

Letzte Woche habe ich meine Freundin Antje besucht, die ich während der Heilpraktikerausbildung kennengelernt habe. 400 Bilder habe ich gemacht....Unter anderem waren wir auf ihrer Pferdekoppel und bei dieser Gelegenheit saß ich zum ersten mal auf einem Pferd.

Last week I visited my friend Antje, I meet her during trainings for alternative practitioner. I did 400 pictures... Amongst others we went to her paddock and I took the opportunity to sit on a horse for the very first time.

Grün Grün Grün

Grün ist die Farbe der Hoffnung.

Grün ist die neue Landesregierung von Baden-Württemberg.

Und Grün ist meine Tischdekoration. Aber die hat nichts mit dem Wahlergebnis zu tun:-)

Ich mag diese Farbe und sie passt so schön in den Frühling!

Morgen kommen Gäste... ich habe noch einiges zu tun......blos nicht am Computer hängenbleiben!!

Green is the color of hope.

And green is my table decoration. But that has no bearing to the result of the vote :-)

I like this color, it matchs wonderful with spring!

Guests are coming tomorrow.... there is still something to be done...........I should not get cought on the computer!!

Power on

Habt ihr bemerkt, dass ich den Schalter für Solarenergie auf "an" gestellt habe?

Did you notice that I switched on the solar power?

Diese Woche wurde deutlich, wie viel Kraft die Frühlingssonne hat. Früh am Morgen gab es noch Frost aber im Laufe des Tages stieg das Thermometer auf bis zu 18°C hier in der Rheinebene! Was für eine Wohltat!

This week the sun began to show, that she has a lot of power meanwhile. There was frost early in the morning but over the course of the day the temperature went up to 18°C here in the region. What a joy!

Letztes Jahr als Geschenk im Osterkorb, jetzt im Blumenbeet!

Last year as gift in the easterbasket, now in the flower bed!

So ordentlich angepflanzt....... das kann nur bei meiner Nachbarin sein.......

So proper planted............ this can only be in the garden from my neighbor....

 Diese Narzissen waren auch ein Geschenk vom Osterhasen letztes Jahr.

Also a gift from Easter Bunny last year were this daffodils.

Diese Veilchen sind winzig klein und wachsen wild in meinem Garten.

These Violas are little bitty. They grow by their own in my garden.

Ihr ahnt es schon, Nachbars Krokusse :-)

Abendspaziergang

Für diese Sonnenuntergänge würde ich meilenweit gehen...

I would walk for miles and miles to see this sundowns...

Es reicht schon ein Marsch von zwei Minuten den Berg hinauf und ich bin an meinem Aussichtspunkt.

I have just to go up the hill two minutes and I´m at my vintage point.

  

Wo kommen denn die Pfützen her? Es hat doch gar nicht geregnet.

Where do the puddles come from? There was no rain this days.

Ein bisschen unheimlich wird es mir dann schon, wenn es dunkler wird.

I´m a little bit creeped out when it´s getting darker.

Und dann bin ich ein wenig erschrocken.... huh....ein Wolf???  Nein, nur ein ausgebüchster neugieriger Hund. Er heisst Sina und hat mich ein Stück begleitet. Dann kam sein Herrchen. Ein nettes Herrchen.

And then I got frightened ..... huh.... a wolf??? No, just a curious dog who has escaped. His name is Sina, he kept me company for a while. Then his master arrived. A friendly master.

Perigäum

Am Samstag konnten wir eine ganz besondere Konstellation unseres Trabanten genießen. Größtmögliche Nähe zur Erde und Vollmondphase trafen exakt zusammen. Also falls jemand schlaflos war, kein Wunder! 

Nur 356.574 Kilometer trennten uns.....

On saturday we could enjoy a very special constellation of our sattelite. Maximize perigee meets exactly phase of  full moon. No wonder if you were sleepless! He was only 356.547 kilometers away.....

Ich habe die Gelegenheit genutzt und einige meiner Steine über Nacht ins Mondlicht gelegt. Jetzt sind sie aufgeladen mit mächtig viel Power! Für mich!

I took the chance and put out some of my stones for the night to let them soke the moonlight. Now they are charched with mighty power! For me!

Und off Topic....... so lange ersehnt......... ab heute ist er offiziell da. Der Frühling! Und das tatsächlich, nicht nur auf dem Kalender. Der Himmel ist blau :-)

And off topic......so long awaited...........since today its formal. Spring is here!  And really, not only on the calendar. Sky is blue :-)

Machs gut, Knut!

Eine traurige Nachricht kommt aus dem Berliner Zoo. Knut ist heute Nachmittag gestorben. Er wurde nur vier Jahre alt.

Sad news are coming from the Berlin Zoo. Knut died this afternoon. He was only four years old.

Hier ist Knut mir seinem Pfleger Thomas Dörflein, der vor drei Jahren verstorben ist.

This is Knut with his keeper Thomas Dörflein, who passed away three years ago.

Bilder der beiden gingen um die ganze Welt. Sie haben uns viel Freude gemacht. Thomas und der berühmteste Eisbär der Welt. Eine traurige Geschichte.

We could see them all over the world, they brought us a lot of fun. Thomas and the world famous Icebear Knut. A sad story.

Freunde

Hoppel and I posed for some photos and I asked Mom to arrange this mouseover trick so you can see, that we got best friends. After clearing some misunderstandings about hay- and feedingbowl-sharing first.

Isn´t it wonderful to have good friends?

Fokus

Wie ihr alle sehe ich mit großem Entsetzen die Nachrichten aus Japan und bin erschüttert, mit wie vielen Katastrophen die Menschen dort konfrontiert werden. Es ist schrecklich.

I also see the horrible news from Japan and I´m shocked as you all.  A disaster ends in a disaster ends in ??? It´s terrible.

Auf der Suche nach dem Frühling fand ich auf dem Gehweg dieses beeindruckende Motiv. 

Und setzte den Fokus auf den Krokus.

Gute Nacht

Gestern war ich wieder mondsüchtig. Er sah aber auch toll aus.

I was moonstruck yesterday once again. He looked so great.

Licht und Schatten

Diese Wandmalerei habe ich heute zum ersten mal bewusst wahrgenommen. Als ich aufgewacht bin, war sie einfach da. Ok, als ich zum zweitenmal aufgewacht bin und die Sonne schon ins Zimmer schien.

I noticed this wall painting for the first time this morning. It was there when I woke up. Ok, when I woke up for the second time and the sun already shined in the room.

Mein Gast

Ich habe einen Gast für die nächsten Tage. Er heisst Hoppel und ist sehr damit beschäftigt, sein neues Zuhause zu erkunden.

I have a  guest for the next few days. His name is Hoppel and he´s busy investigating his new home.

Er mag meine Selbstgestrickten.

He likes my self knittted sox.

Er kommt schon von ganz alleine angehoppelt und lässt sich streicheln.

He comes to me on his own accord an allows me to pet him.
