Highlight Sunday

Teile des Landes versinken im Schneefall und auf vereisten Straßen gab es viele Unfälle. Es ist deutlich kälter geworden. Ich musste morgends früh Eis von der Windschutzscheibe kratzen, aber Schneeflocke hat sich bis jetzt noch keine einzige zu mir verirrt.

Und mein Schneemann liegt am Strand in der türkischen Sonne :-)

Parts of Germany are sinking in snowfall and there were many accidents on slippery roads. It

has got quit cold this week and I had to scrape ice from Clios windows in the mornings. But there was not one snowflake showing up here so far.

And my snowman lays on the beach and enjoys the Turkish sunshine :-)

Erinnert euch, wir sind in Side und schlendern am Hafen entlang.

Remember we are in Side / Turkey and are strolling along the harbor.

Da wartet ein Clio!

A Clio is waiting!

Weil so wenig los ist, wagen wir uns auch in die Shopping-Meile.

Because there is no crowd of tourists we dare to go to the shopping mile.

Aber erst mal einen Kaffe....oder Tee.

To begin with a cup of coffee... or tea.

Oder etwas anderes.

Or something else.

Ich nahm ganz konventionell den Apfeltee. Sehr lecker!

I took the apple tea, conventional. Very yummy!

Die letzten Bilder sind aus dem Taxi gemacht. Schlecht, aber ich mag sie. Vor allem den Schafhirten.

I made the last photos behind the taxi window. Bad. But I like them. Especially the shepherd.

Statt Schneeflocken bringt uns dieser Winter Regentropfen. Nicht so ideal für die Kamera.

Zurück in die Türkei. Mit dem Taxi nach Side. Der Fahrer hat versprochen, sechs Stunden auf uns zu warten.

Back to Turkey. By taxi to Side. The driver promised to wait for us for six hours.

Die Häuser sind als Wohnzimmer um einen großen Innenraum/Atrium gebaut, der immer einen Brunnen enthielt und dessen Boden mit Mosaiken geschmückt waren.

The houses were built as living rooms around a big inner hall/atrium, witch always had a fountain in the middle and mosaics on the floor.

Die große Agora mit Überresten der ionischen und korinthischen Säulen

des Tempels der Schicksalsgöttin Fortuna.

The big Agora and ruins of the Ion and Chorint headed columns of the temple of The

Goddess of luck and commerce Fortuna.

Genug Kultur, jetzt erst mal ein Blick in die türkische Bild....

Enough culture, lets dip into the turkish Bildzeitung.

 

Und jetzt spazieren wir am Meer entlang zum Hafen.

And now we take a walk along the sea to the harbor.

 

Ich habe zweimal hingeschaut, sie verkaufen hier tatsächlich Glühwein.

I looked twice and it´s true, they sell mulled vine here.

Zum Abschluss des kulturellen Teils unseres Ausflugs nach Side kommt das Foto, das jeder hier macht. Die Ruinen des Apollon-Tempels.

In conclusion of the cultural part of our trip to Side see the photo that everybody takes here. The ruins of the Apollon-Temple.

 Habt ihr gemerkt, dass wir die Touristenhochburg fast für uns alleine hatten?

Have you noticed that we were nearly on our own at this popular tourist destination?

Im Schlosspark Bruchsal

Bruchsal hat ein wunderschönes Barockschloss  (der Link führt zu Bildern auf meiner Homepage) und diese Blumen hier sind im Schlossgarten aufgenommen.

Bruchsal has a wonderful baroque palace (the link goes to photos on my homepage) and this flower pictures are taken in the garden there.

Ich muss gestehen, ich hatte ein ganz anderes Motiv im Visier.

I must confess I had my sights on a very different theme.

An den Wochenenden treffen sich hier Boule-Spieler.

You can see people playing petanque here at the weekends.

Schön ist es auch am am Ententeich.

I care to stop at the duck pond.

 Ganz besonders schön natürlich wenn es dort Nachwuchs gibt!

Specially when there are cute ducklings!

 

Im Schlosshof findet ein besonderes Treffen statt. Aber davon mehr im nächsten Post!
