When today Endeavour starts from Kennedy Space Center for the final mission, there is Andreas sitting in the control room in Houston.

I remember when ESA recruited astronauts I asked him, if he made an application. Because I´m dreaming of someone doing a photo from the Blue Planet special for me. But he answered no, he will not be an astronaut because he doesnt´t like to fly. Ok, that´s a reason. 

So now he is not  the one who is calling Houston because of a problem, he is the one who solves it. 

There will not be a Blue Planet Photo for me.

But I´m looking forward for a photo of the Shuttle launch taken by Prof. Wim de Boer, who is following all at Kennedy Space Center.

Schwarze Mamba

Wir sind im Tierpark Berlin im Reptilienhaus.  Die Schwarze Mamba hat ihr Kleid gewechselt. Ist sie nicht wunderschön? Allerdings kein bisschen schwarz...

We are in the Reptile house at Tierpark Berlin.  Ms Black Mamba got a new dress. Isn´t she beautyful? But not at whit black....

Ich beobachte gerne Schlangen in ihrem Terrarium und weiß sie hinter dicken Glasscheiben :-) 

I love to watch snakes in their terrarium and know them behind bullet-proof glass :-)

Frohe Ostern!

 Was für ein herrliches Wetter! Auf der europäischen Wetterkarte liegen wir mit unseren hochsommerlichen Temperaturen ganz vorne. Es ist hier wärmer als in Italien, Spanien, Griechenland oder der Türkei. 

Da wird der Osterhase ganz schön ins Schwitzen kommen.....

What a nice weather! We are on top of the European weather cart with our midsommery temperatures. It´s warmer here than in Italy, Spain, Greece or Turkey.

I hope, Easter bunny stays cool.....

Dieser süße Kerl ist nicht schön genug für die Zucht....Meine Freundin hat ihn gerettet, bei ihr führt er jetzt ein schönes Hasenleben.

This cutie ist not beautyful enough to be used for breeding..... my friend Antje rescued him, he has now a good bunny life there.

Blau-Weiße Phase

Es ist noch sehr kalt in der Nacht und eigentlich etwas zu früh zum Blumen Pflanzen. Aber ich bin letzte Woche in ein Gartencenter geraten und konnte nicht ohne ein paar neue Schönheiten nach Hause gehen. 

Ich hatte meine "Blau-Weiße Phase" bei der Farbwahl. 

It is still very cold during the night and actually too early to plant flowers. But last week I found myself in the garden center and there was no way to go home without some  new beauties. Choosing them I had my "Blue-White Phase".

Ich wollte mir unbedingt ihren Namen merken und habe ihn doch vergessen. Aber es gab sie in blau und in weiß :-)

I would be sure to keep her name in mind but still forgot it. But I got them in blue and white :-)

Sie muss aber noch drin bleiben.... meine weiße Hortensie!

Wenn ich noch ein bisschen Geduld habe, dann wächst in diesem Blumenkasten von ganz alleine etwas Blaues.

If I am patient long enough than I will have something blue growing in this flower box all by itself.

Schöne Nachbarin

Das ist eine meiner Nachbarskatzen. Sie patroulliert regelmäßig durch den Garten. 

This is one of my neighbor-cats. She´s on continuous patrol in the garden.

So auch gestern früh, als ich die ersten Schritte aus der Tür machte. Da hatte sie sich ein ruhiges sonniges Plätzchen gesichert.

Same yesterday, when I did first steps out of the door. She took seat on a calm an sunny place.

Der Bildhintergrund ist nicht schön.

I don´t like the background.

Besser ein paar Stufen die Kellertreppe runter, dann habe ich den blauen Himmel....

It´s better to go some stairs down to the cellar, then I get the blue sky......

"I see you are still wearing your nightie. Everybody can see."

Und wenn ich ein Foto vom Balkon aus mache?

And when I do a shot from the balcony?

"Green is very becoming to me!"

"It´s a bit of a yawn."

 

 

Vom Balkon aus wird das nichts mehr mit Fotos, also zurück in den Garten.....

Manchmal braucht man einfach ein bisschen Geduld:-)

Ich habe ein Haus anzubieten. Schöne ruhige Lage im Grünen. Nette Nachbarn. Keine Mietkosten, nur ab und zu ein paar Schnappschüsse :-)

Der Flieder hier ist schon viel weiter aufgeblüht als der in meinem Garten.

Lilac here is much more blossomed up than mine in the garden.
